Our secretary, Suzy Degazon, is competed in the 2008 Untra(wo)man World Championships in Hawaii November 28-30.

She finished 22nd overall and 2nd among the women. Awesome Suzy!!! Certainly a champion by my standards!

Her results for day 3 (52.4 mile run)

Her results after day 2 (171.4 mile bike):

Total 21:21:55

She now places 23rd overall and still 2nd among the women. Way to go again.

Her results after day 1 (6.2 mile swim and 90 mile bike ride are:

Total 11:24:22

This places her 25th overall and 2nd among the women. Way to go Suzy!

Cleanup

About Us

We are a new dive club based in La Verne, CA. We started forming in September 2007 and incorporated in November 2007. We are a group of divers who met through Sharkys Eco Diving in La Verne.

Board of Directors are:

Meetings

Meeting are held the second Thursday of the month at:

The next meeting is Thursday December 11th. The speaker for December is Karl Huggins. Karl is the Program Manager of the USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. He was also the co-inventor of the first commercial dive computer (the Orca Edge), recipient of the 1993 DAN/Rolex Diver of the Year Award and 2008 California Scuba Service Award. He will be telling us about the operation of the chamber and reviewing dive accident analysis. This will an outstanding presentation.

Membership

Membership is $25, additional family members are $15 for the first and $10 for each additional member.

Bylaws

The Bylaws for the La Verne Eco Dive Club were approved at the February 13th meeting in 2008.
